1066bergen is pleased to present Out of Scale, a group show featuring the work of six artists working out of the Bergen Artist Studios. While each of the artists work in a variety of mediums, materials and sizes, Out of Scale brings their work to our outdoor gallery space to make their expansive practices accessible to everyone who walks by.

Caitlin Eder

Caitlin Eder (b. Walterboro, SC) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Sheepshead Bay whose practice includes painting, fabrication, costuming and more. Her work explores the nebulous overlaps between practicality, playfulness, beauty and humor. This is her first solo show with 1066bergen and signifies her return to painting after a hiatus.

Kate Sammer

March 15th, 2024 - April 15th, 2024

Kate Sammer (b. San Diego, CA) embodies the overlap between the figurative and the abstract in her vibrant acrylic paintings. Sammer graduated from Columbia University in 2018 and has worked in the arts and film in New York, Washington D.C., and the Black Forest of Germany. She has previously shown work in a group exhibition at Herbert Von King Cultural Arts Center in Bed-Stuy, where she lives and works. This is her first solo exhibition with 1066bergen.
